Model: The A unit comes with a 5-pole Mini-Club motor that powers both trucks. B unit is unpowered. Lighted number boards. The Mini-Club coupler on the front of the A unit can be replaced by a pilot piece included with the locomotive. Both locomotive units are coupled together permanently with a drawbar. Total length 150 mm / 5-7/8".

The 88605 double unit diesel locomotive is being produced in a one-time series only in 2002.
Operating overnight from New York to Chicago, the Broadway Limited was that train. Like most other Pennsy passenger trains, its cars were painted in muted colors of deep maroon red. Yet, inside, this train was the height of opulence with a variety of accommodations to suit the needs of the traveler. And the Broadway had strong competition, with the New York Central fielding the 20th Century Limited. But while the 20th Century Limited was bold in its cool two-tone gray and silver art deco livery, the Broadway was understated and elegant.
